Annual Report Documents
FSM Users: Beginning this year, application packets for FSM funding will be provided directly by the FSM Research Office. Please reach out to jeff-weiss@northwestern.edu to receive your application packet.
The FSM funding application and the NU Office for Research (OR) annual report share the Budget and Activity templates but use different Narratives. Cores that both apply for FSM funding and file an OR Annual Report (which is required to qualify for OR equipment funds) may submit the FSM funding application in lieu of the OR Narrative, but in this case they must also complete an OR Supplement. The FSM funding application should be sent to jeff-weiss@northwestern.edu.
The deadline for fiscal year 2027 funding requests is May 1, 2026.
Templates for Endnote Updates
Files below open in a separate browser. Save the opened page locally as a text file and open it using Excel.
Download Endnote Macro for Publications to a location that allows macros (downloads usually does not). Open excel file (enable macros).
Filter publications at 2026 Core Publication Impact
Select Download for Bibliography Tab. Select rows that you want to download by creating a select box in the data column ( "Abc"), select the "Choose a format to download" icon (top right menu bar), select "Data" option, in newly opened window select all (cntl-A), copy (cntl-C), paste (cntl-V) data into Excel file and run "Export to RIS" macro to generate file to import references to Endnote. Import in Endnote (file type is RIS).
